Usage Notes

• WARNING: Do not attempt to revert your module to a firmware version earlier than v5.0.201 after updating with this release. The bundles earlier than v5.0.201 are no longer compatible. If you encounter any issues with this release, please contact our support email for assistance. Attempts to revert your module to a firmware version earlier than v5.0.201 may put your module into an unrecoverable state without additional hardware.

Improvements to the SHIPTide experience

Installation

• Install directory is now “../serious/shiptide/5.0.213” instead of “../serious/5.0.213/shiptide”
• 64-Bit SHIPTide allocated additional heap.

Projects

• Added new device support:
  • SIM243

Project Verification & Switching

• Improved SHIPTide project verification performance.
• Improved SHIPTides time to switch projects.
• Reduced SHIPTides CPU usage during project verification and project switching.

Communications

• Added support for USBHCDC0 and USBFCDC0.
• Added new RAW protocol properties:
  • Lossless - available on RAW oData object
  • Depth - available on RAW iData and oData objects.
• Protocols that are not being used by a project will no longer export to cargo.

Language Tools

• Fixed an issue when modifying translations SHIPTide would generate errors.

Layout & Resources

• Resource tree no longer sorted alphabetically.
• When switching projects SHIPTide now selects nodes in the Layout and Resource tree that were previously selected.
• Added new property Silent to all nodes.
  • When True - Events are no longer generated in the SHIPEngine.
  • When False - Events continue to be generated in the SHIPEngine.
